About this site
Orthographica is a Canadian journal of culture and technology written by Young Thos. It mostly focuses on books and technology, and indeed books about technology — but the author has many interests and is easily distracted.
The name Orthographica somewhat pretentiously evokes the English words orthography and orthographic, and perhaps more reasonably the French terms orthographe and orthographique, all of which ultimately derive from the Graeco-Roman orthographia — what the Germans more honestly call Rechtschreibung, literally ‘right writing’. All of which is an insufferably long-winded way of saying that we aim to do some right proper writing round here.
Feel free to subscribe to the newsletter to keep up with the posts. The author can be contacted via the social links on their author page or by email at hello [at] orthographi [dot] ca.
